Day 1: People's Square, Nanjing Road, the Bund, Yu Yuan Garden, and Jinmao Tower

Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel in the morning to begin your Shanghai exploration. The first stop is People's Square, the city's symbolic heart. Spanning 140,000 square meters, this urban oasis is anchored by the grand Municipal Government Mansion to the north. You will visit the Shanghai Museum on the southern edge of the square. Renowned for its unique architecture and world-class collection, its eleven galleries and three exhibition halls showcase a stunning array of ancient Chinese art and cultural relics dating from the Old Stone Age to the modern era.

Afterward, head to Yu Garden, the crown jewel of Shanghai's Old City. Originally designed during the Ming Dynasty and covering five acres, this exquisite classical garden offers a tranquil escape. You will find serenity among its lush greenery, ornate pavilions, and shimmering koi ponds.

Following a local lunch, you will be driven to Lujiazui, the city's gleaming financial hub. This futuristic skyline is dominated by architectural marvels such as the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Bank of China Tower. Your guide will take you to the 88th-floor Observation Deck of the Jin Mao Tower, where you will enjoy a mind-blowing, bird's-eye view of the Huangpu River and the sprawling metropolis below.

5. Price Exclusions: Please note that the tour price excludes international airfare, unmentioned domestic flights, visa processing fees, stamping fees, and related embassy charges. It also does not cover personal travel insurance, laundry, telephone calls, or other expenses of a personal nature, as well as any meals, snacks, beverages, activities, or services not explicitly stated in the tour program. Gratuities for local guides, drivers, hotel porters, and restaurant staff are left to your discretion. Furthermore, tour prices are based on twin-sharing occupancy; if you are traveling solo, we will arrange for you to share a twin room with another traveler of the same sex in most cases, but should you prefer a private room, a Single Room Supplement will apply based on your specific travel dates.
