Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai in the early morning and transfer to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to take the high speed train to Huangshan North Railway Station. It is a 3-hour train ride.
Your local English-speaking tour guide will meet you at the Huangshan North Railway Station at noon and transfer you to Tangkou Township to connect the local green bus to get to the bus station at Yungu. Then take a 5-minute walk to Yungu Cable Station and the 10-minute ride will take you to the White Goose Cable Station. After getting off the cable car at Whilte Goose Cable Station, you will walk along the Whilte Goose Ridge for about 0.8 km towards Stalagmite Peak, the first peak on your Huangshan Tour. All your hiking on Huangshan mountain will not disappoint you since you get lots of chances to enjoy the different views of pine trees and unknown peaks.
Then you will walk from Stalagmite Peak to Beginning-to-Believe-Peak, which is a difficult road for you to challenge. Don't worry about it since it is only 0.2 km.
After getting a fantastic view on Beginning-to-Believe-Peak, you will continue to walk another 1 km towards A Flower Blooming on Brush Tip.
Your hotel in Huangshan is just 100 meters away from the A Flower Blooming on Brush Tip. After having dinner, you'd better prepare to get some sleep.

Around 5:30 am, you will hike about 500 meters up to Dawn Pavilion. You will use flashlights to walk on the road. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the first sunlight in the pavilion. You will see a different sunrise since it will be blocked by the Beginning-to-Believe-Peak.
Then you will walk back to your hotel and have your breakfast. After that, you will begin 2-hour sightseeing. First, walk to Dawn Pavilion. You have already seen the beautiful sunrise in the morning and you should know why it is one of the best places to see the first light of the sun in Huangshan Mountain.
Continue walking and you will get to meet the Refreshing Terrace, where you will get a perfect overlook of the granite peaks and the sea of clouds. Then, move to the next attraction in Huangshan - Stone Monkey Gazing over the sea of clouds. Be careful with the steep steps.
After all the sightseeing in Huangshan, you will walk back to White Goose Cable Station and take the cable car down the mountain.
After lunch, move from Tangkou Township to Hongcun Village, a unique and buffalo-shaped ancient village. This village was added to the list of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in late 2000 and it gets more popular because of some scenes in the films Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon.
After one hour visit in Hongcun Village, let's drive about 60 km back to Tunxi and walk around the old town in Tunxi.

After breakfast, you can choose to visit Huizhou Culture Museum or walk around the old town in Tunxi.
Then, transfer to Huangshan North Railway Station and catch your high-speed train back to Shanghai. Your private tour guide will meet you at Hongqiao Railway Station and escort you to your hotel in Shanghai.
