• Morning: A Morning with Giant Pandas: We start early to arrive at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding during their most active hours. Home to over 100 pandas, this lush facility allows you to observe these gentle giants as they breakfast on fresh bamboo and play in their sprawling enclosures. You'll visit the adult enclosures, the "kindergarten" for sub-adults, and the nursery (seasonal) for a chance to see the tiny newborns.

• Afternoon: The World's Largest Stone Buddha: After a 2-hour scenic drive, we reach Leshan. To truly appreciate the scale of the Leshan Giant Buddha, we will board a river cruise. From the water—at the turbulent confluence of the Min, Dadu, and Qingyi Rivers—you will gain a spectacular panoramic view of the 71-meter-tall statue carved directly into the red sandstone cliff.

• Evening: Journey to the Sacred Mountain: Following a local Leshan lunch, we continue our drive to the base of Mount Emei, one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Arriving at the foot of the mountain around 6:00 PM, you will settle into your hotel, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of ancient forests.

To see the pandas at their most active, we recommend a 7:30 AM departure from your hotel. For the Leshan Giant Buddha, the boat tour is the most efficient way to see the "Grand View" without the 2-3 hour queues required to walk down the narrow plank path. When you arrive at Mount Emei, enjoy a quiet evening stroll near Baoguo Temple to breathe in the fresh mountain air before your summit climb tomorrow.

Today is dedicated to exploring the ethereal beauty of Mount Emei, one of the most spiritually significant mountains in China. We will ascend to its highest accessible point for a breathtaking experience above the clouds.

• Morning: Ascending the Golden Summit: We begin at 7:00 AM, taking the scenic park shuttle to Leidongping, the high-altitude gateway. From there, a refreshing 30-minute hike through ancient forests brings you to Jieyin Palace, where we board the cable car. As you ascend, the landscape transforms into a dramatic alpine world. Upon reaching the Golden Summit (Jinding)—standing at an altitude of 3,077 meters—you will witness the majestic 48-meter-tall multi-faced golden statue of Samantabhadra. On clear days, you can marvel at the "Sea of Clouds" and the distant, snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.

• Afternoon: Descent and Return to Chengdu: After taking in the panoramic views and visiting the Bronze and Silver palaces, we descend the mountain via cable car and shuttle bus. Your private vehicle will be waiting at the base for a comfortable drive back to Chengdu. We will escort you back to your hotel in the early evening, concluding your 2-day spiritual and natural odyssey.

Expert Tips for Day 2:

The temperature at the Golden Summit is significantly lower than at the base, even in summer; we recommend bringing a warm windbreaker or light down jacket. Mount Emei is also famous for its wild monkeys; while they are fascinating to watch near Leidongping, please keep a respectful distance and avoid carrying plastic bags or food in your hands. If the weather is exceptionally clear, you might even spot Mount Gongga, the 'King of Sichuan Mountains,' on the horizon!
